Beef - 500gm (Cubed)
Red chilli powder - 2 Tsp
Green Chilli - 4
Coriander powder - 1 TBsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
Pepper powder - 1 Tsp
Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
Shallots (Chuvannulli) Chopped - 1 Cup
Garlic - 4 Pods
Ginger - 1 inch size
Curry leaves - 2 Sprigs
Coconut (cut into small pieces) - 1/2 Cup
Vinegar - 1 Tsp
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds - 1 Tsp
Coconut oil - 5 TBsp (or as per your taste)
Grind green chillies, ginger and garlic into a fine paste. Add salt, vinegar, turmeric powder, garam masala and pepper powder to this paste and mix well.
Marinate beef with the above spice paste and keep aside for about half an hour. In a closed pan cook the meat adding little water. Cook till the water is almost dried up and the meat is tender. Remove from heat.
Heat oil in another pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add shallots, curry leaves and coconut slices and saute for about 3 minutes. Add coriander powder and chilli powder and saute for another 2 minutes. Add the cooked beef and fry well, stirring occassionally. Serve with hot rice or chappathis.Photos (Click to enlarge) :
