Rice flour - 1 cup
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Jaggery (crushed) - 1/2 cup
Dried ginger powder (chukku) - 1/4 tsp
Make dough by adding warm water to rice flour mixed with enough salt for your taste. Add cumin seeds also. Keep it aside,
Put a steamer on stove. (Idli/Idiyappam steamer or pressure cooker)
Take half a cup of freshly grated coconut. Add crushed jaggery. Mix this well using your fingers. Add dried ginger powder.
Make small balls. Make a big hole in the middle of this ball and put the coconut/jaggery mix inside that hole and close it . (You can flatten it in your hand and put the mix and close it)
Apply some oil on top of the plate you are using to steam this rice balls. Put one by one and steam it abut 15-20 min in medium heat. Tasty Kozhukkatta is ready to be served.
