Chicken – 8 big pieces
Onion – 2 medium size finely chopped
Tomato – 1 small pureed
Green chili - 2
Cashew nuts – 25 gm soaked in water for 30 minutes
Poppy seeds – ¼ tea spoon
Ginger paste – 1 tea spoon
Garlic paste – 1 tea spoon
Cloves – 3
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Cardamom – 1
Pepper powder – 1 tea spoon
Red chili powder - - 2 tea spoon
Turmeric powder – ¼ tea spoon
Curd – 2 tea spoon
Butter – 2 table spoon
Kasoori methi – 1 table spoon
Make cashew nut and poppy seed paste in a grinder.
Heat butter in a kadai, add cloves, cinnamon and cardamom and fry
Add onion sauté well it turns brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté well then add tomato puree sauté till oil comes up.
Add red chili powder, turmeric powder and pepper powder mix well
Add curd, cashew nut paste and chicken with half cup water and salt cook till chicken is done.
Add kasoori methi and boil till gravy become thick.
