Curd - 2 Cup
Shallots - 5, chopped
Tomato - 1 (Optional)
Dried red chilli - 2 broken into small pieces
Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Turmeric powder -1/4 Tsp
Fenugreek seed - 1/4 Tsp (Optional)
Curry leaves - 1 Sprig
Oil - 2 TBsp
Salt as per taste
Take the curd in a bowl, add salt and beat it until smooth.
Add little water to dilute it.
Heat oil in a pan.
Splutter mustard seeds and add fenugreek seeds, shallots pieces, curry leaves and dry red chilli and saute until shallots are transparent.
Add tumeric powder and stir it.
Simmer and add tomato pieces.
When the tomato becomes soft add beaten curd to it.
Mix well and remove from flame. (if you keep heating longer, the curd splits and spoils the dish)
Serve with hot rice.
