Fish Curry Recipe

Ingredients Fish (King Fish / Mackeral) - 1/2 kg
Shallots (small onions) - 8
Ginger - 1/4 inch
Garlic - 3 Cloves
Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
Fenugreek(uluva) - 1/2 Tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 TBsp
Green Chillies - 4
Turmeric powder - 1/4 Tsp
Tomato - 1
Tamarind - A small ball
Cooking InstructionsPreparation
Clean the fish, cut into small pieces and keep aside.
Soak tamarind in water.
Chop the onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies and tomato into small pieces.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and when they start spluttering add fenugreek seeds followed by sliced onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. Saute the mixture well. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and saute for 2 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes adn continue sauting. Add the tamarind juice extract and leave the mixture to boil. Add the fish pieces and salt and cook in low flame with the lid of the pan covered.
Serve hot with rice or tapioca.
