500gms Fish - sardines or mackeral or any fleshy fish
100gm coconut grated
2 small onions cut into small pieces
2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
small piece of ginger
little green leaves
Put some oil in a hot pan and add onion. Later add the ginger and green leaves. Fry till onion becomes little brown.
Now add the chilli and turmeric powder. Later add the crushed fish flesh (only flesh) and salt required. Keep stirring and take care that it gets cooked in the oil (may be a teaspoon of water can be added but it should be dried up at the end). Once the fish is half cooked, add the coconut and stir well till it is completely cooked and the oil separates.
Variations are - can add meat masala, kodampuli.
