1. Kingfish - 500gm
2. Onion - 1 large, chopped
3. Garlic - 5 pods
4. Ginger - ½ inch piece
5. Fenugreek seed - ¼ tsp, powdered
6. Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
7. Chili powder – 2 tsp
8. Coriander powder – 2 tsp
9. Tomato - 1
10. Water - 1/4 cup
11. Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup, finely chopped
12. Salt - to taste
13. Coccum – 1 pc
14. Coconut oil – 3 Tbsp
Clean and cut the fish into pieces.
Rub the fish pieces with salt and pepper then slightly fry turning both sides and keep aside.
Grind the ingredients 2 to 10.
Heat oil in a kadai and add the ground mixture in it.
Add half cup of water, coccum, salt and mix well.
Bring it to boil then cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the fried fish to it and cover it in the masala.
Simmer for another 20 minutes.
Add coriander leaves and remove from heat.
Serve with parotta or appam.
