Manthal Mulakittathu Recipe

Ingredients 1. Manthal (Sole fish) - 200gm, cleaned
2. Coconut oil – 2 tsp
3. Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
4. Mustard - 1/4 tsp
5. Tomato - 2, chopped
6. Green chilli - 2
7. Garlic - 5 pods, crushed
8. Ginger - 1 inch pc, thinly sliced
9. Chilli powder – 1 tsp
10. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
11. Salt - to taste
12. Water - 1 1/2 cup
13. Tamarind - lemon sized
Cooking Instructions1. Heat coconut oil in a pan and splutter the mustard and fenugreek seeds.
2. Add the tomato, green chilli, garlic and ginger to it and sauté.
3. Then add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, water, and tamarind to it and mix all the ingredients well and bring it to boil.
4. Then add the sole fish to it and cook it for 10-15 minutes.
5. Serve with rice or kanji.
