Cheriyulli Mutton Curry Recipe

Mutton – ½ kg
Thick coconut milk – ½ cup
Small onion (cheriyulli) – ½ cup chopped
Green chilli – 3
Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon + ¼ teaspoon
Red chilli powder – ½ teaspoon + 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - ½ teaspoon +1 teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste – 2 teaspoon
Salt – to taste
Curry leaves - few
Cut mutton into small pieces and cook in a pressure cooker by adding ¼ teaspoon turmeric, ½ teaspoon chilli , ½ teaspoon coriander powder.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add onion, curry leaves and green chilli. Sauté till brown, then add ginger garlic paste and sauté again for a while .
Add the remaining powder and sauté for 5 minutes .
Pour the cooked mutton with the masala into it and bring to boil.
Add the thick coconut milk and cook for 5 minutes.
Serve with roti or rice.
