Ada Pradhaman (Onasadhya Recipe) Recipe

Ingredients Ada - 1 Cup
Jaggery ( Sharkara ) 1 Cup
Coconut Milk 3 Cups (extracted from one whole coconut)
Coconut pieces - 1/2 cup (thin pieces)
Cashew nut 1/4 cup
Riasins - 1/4 cup
Cardamom - 6 (crushed)
Dry Ginger ( Chukku ) powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Ghee - 4 tbsp
Cooking InstructionsFry the cahews, raisins and coconut pieces in ghee, drain and keep aside. Extract milk from coconut (first extract, second extract and third extract, thickest being first extract). Fry the ada lightly in ghee. Boil the ada adding two cups of water and third extract of coconut milk. Heat ghee in a pan and melt jaggery. When the ada is boiled , add the melted jaggery and second extract milk. Also add crushed cardamoms and chukku powder. Cook in medium heat for about 5 minutes. Remove from flame and add the first milk and fried cashews and raisins and mix well. Ada pradhaman is ready to be served.
