Spaghetti with Meatballs Recipe

For Spaghetti :
Spaghetti - 1 Kg
Olive oil - 1 TBsp
Freshly chopped basil - 1 TBsp
Butter - 1 TBsp
Grated Cheese - 1 TBsp
Salt to taste
For Meat Balls :
Minced Beef - 500g
Garlic - 1 Clove, finely chopped
Oregano - 1 Tsp
Parsley - 1 TBsp
Parmesan Cheese - 1 TBsp
Bread Crumbs - 3 TBsp
Ground black pepper - 1 Tsp
Salt to taste
Egg - 1, beaten
For Sauce :
Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
Olive oil - 3 TBsp
Garlic - 1 Clove, finely chopped
Red wine - 100 ml
Peeled and chopped Tomatoes - 1 can (400gm)
Tomato Puree - 1 TBsp
Sugar - 1 Tsp
Salt and pepper as per taste
Cooking the meat balls :
Mix all the ingredients for meat ball in a mixing bowl.
Roll the mixture into small balls.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the meatballs until golden brown and drain the excess oil on kitchen paper.
Cooking the sauce:
Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the chopped onion and garlic.
Cook in low flame until the onions pale yellow.
Stir in all the remaining ingredients for the sauce and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in between.
Cooking Spaghetti:
Boil water in a large sauce pan and add the spaghetti olive oil and salt.
When the spaghetti is cooked drain the excess water away.
Heat the saucepan again and add the butter.
When the butter melts add the spaghetti back in to pan and stir well.
Add the chopped basil and grated cheese just before serving.
