Ingredients for marinating:
Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
Kashmiri Chilli powder - 2 Tsp
Salt - 1/2 Tsp or as per your taste
Ingredient for the roast:
King Fish or Sear Fish - 500gms
Kashmiri Chilli powder - 1 Tbsp
Green chillies - 4 (chopped) or as per your level of spiciness
Chopped Onions - 1 Cup
Chopped Ginger - 1 Tsp
Chopped Garlic - 1 Tsp
Chopped tomato - 1 cup
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil - 5 Tbsp
Clean and cut the fish into small pieces
Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder for 15-30 minutes.
Heat some oil in a pan and fry the fish in medium fire until golden brown turning sides once. Make sure not to fry it too much.
Remove and drain the fish from oil.
Add the chopped onions in the same pan and saute for 3 minutes.
Add in the chopped green chillies, ginger and garlic and saute for another 2 minutes.
Add the turmeric powder, chilli powder and saute till the raw smell of spices are gone.
Now add the chopped tomatoes and saute well in medium fire till oil starts to seperate.
Add the pre fried fish pieces and curry leaves and mix well till all fish pieces are uniformly coated with the spice mix.
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve with rice.
