Kozhukkatta (Kerala Sweet Dumpling) Recipe

Ingredients Rice flour - 1 cup
Warm Water - 1 cup
Grated coconut- 1.5 cup
Jaggery or sugar - 1.5 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - a pinch
Cooking InstructionsHand mix the jaggery, grated coconut and cardamom powder well.Keep aside. Add salt to the warm water and add the rice flour little by little. Knead into a soft dough. Make lemon size balls. Make a hole in the middle and fill with the coconut-jaggery stuffing. Close the ball evenly from all sides. Repeat with the remaining dough and stuffing. Steam the kozhukkatas just like idlis on an idli maker or other suitable vessel for about 15 minutes. Serve hot with tea.
