Parippu Vada Recipe

Ingredients Thuvara Parippu (Toor Dal) - 1 cup
Kadala Parippu (Bengal Gram/Chana Dal) - 1 Cup
Finely Chopped Onions - 1/2 cup
Chopped ginger - 2 tsp
Green chillies - 3, Finely chopped
Red Chillies - 3, Finely chopped
Kayam (Asafoetida) - A pinch
Curry leaves - a few
Salt to taste
Cooking InstructionsSoak the dal (Parippu) in water for about 3 hours.
Drain the water completely and coarsely grind it . (No need to add water for grinding as water is already absorbed into the dal while soaking)
Add all the remaining ingredients and mix it gently.
Make small balls of the mixture and keep aside.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Now take each ball , press and flatten it with your palms and fry it.
Serve hot with tea.
