Onions (Savala) - 3
Kadala Mavu (Gram Flour) - 1 cup
Chopped ginger - 1 tbsp
Green chilly - 4
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Salt - As required
Oil for frying
Chop the onions, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves finely.
Mix together kadalamavu, chopped ingredients and salt.
Sprinkle just enough water so that the mixture sticks together.
Make small balls and deep fry in oil turning occasionally.
Serve hot with tea.
*The mix should not be too watery.
**You can make the batter more spicier by adding a little chilli powder, turmeric powder, fennel seeds (perumjeerakam), kaayam etc
