Bengal gram dal( kadalaparippu )-100gm.
Rice powder- 4 tablespoon
Sugar- as required
Cardamom powder-1 teaspoon
Coconut milk extracted from 1 coconut.
Kismis, nuts and ghee
Cook the dal with a little water in a pressure cooker and keep aside. Boil and cook the bananas cut into small pieces in a little coconut milk. When cooked, add the rice flour mixed in a little water. When the whole thickens add the cooked dal, remaining coconut milk and required sugar. When it begins to boil, stop the fire and add the cardamom powder. Fry the kismis and nuts in ghee and add to the payasam.
