Pidi Payasam Recipe

Ingredients Boiled rice 2 cup
Banana 2 (nenthrappayam) cut into small pieces
Bengal gram cup
Jaggery - 250 gm
Coconut milk thick 1 cup
Coconut milk thin 3 cup
Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
Cooking InstructionsBoil 2 small cup of water in a vessel. Cook Bengal gram till it becomes soft.
Grind rice by adding less water make a thick batter and make tiny balls of rice and steam cook in steamer.
Melt jaggery with one cup of water in a pan.
Boil thin coconut milk with the rice balls in a thick bottomed vessel add banana and cardamom powder to it and boil.
Add cooked Bengal gram and melted jaggery and boil for five minutes.
Add thick coconut milk and boil for five minute more.

Pidi payasam is a malabari dish is prepared during Eid and Bakrid
