IngredientsAloo (Potato) - 2 Large
Palak (Spinach) - 1 bunch
Onion - 1
Green Chilli - 4
Turmeric - 1/4 Tsp
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Garlic - 3 pods
Coriander Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Cumin seed - 1/2 Tsp
Ground Cumin - 1/2 Tsp
Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
Ghee or Butter - 3 TBsp
Salt to taste
Cooking InstructionsChop the palak (spinach) ginger and garlic
Cook for about 10 minutes in a pan adding little water.
Leave it to cool for a while and then blend it into paste in a mixer or blender. Keep aside.
Now chop the potatoes and cut into cube size pieces.
Boil water in a pan and add the potatoes, salt and turmeric.
Drain the water when the potatoes are cooked and keep aside.
Take a frying pan and heat the ghee.
Add the cumin seeds and after a few seconds add the spinach paste prepared earlier.
Simmer for a few minutes and add the cooked potatoes, coriander powder, garam masala and cumin powder.
Simmer for a few more minutes and the dish is ready to be served hot with roti or chapati
