Yam (Chena) cut into small pieces - 1/2 cup
Carrot - 1
Beans - A few
Drumstick (Muringakka) - 1
Brinjals (Kathirikka) - 2
Raw banana (Vazhakka) - 1
Cucumber (Vellarikka) - Half Portion of medium sized cucumber
Snake gourd (Padavalanga) - Half Portion
Pumpkin (Mathanga) - Quarter portion
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Green chilies - 4
Cumin seeds (Jeerakam) - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Coconut oil - 3 TBsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Cut the vegetables into 1 inch lenth pieces. Grind coconut with green chilies turmeric powder and cumin seeds in paste and keep it aside. In a vessel heat coconut oil and add vegetables. Saute for few minutes. Add one cup water, a little turmeric powder and salt to taste and cook it on a low flame. When the vegetables are cooked, add the coconut paste, curry leaves and stir well. Add two teaspoons of curd to it. Remove from fire and serve hot with rice.Photos (Click to enlarge) :
