Chana (Chickpea) Korma Recipe

Ingredients 500gm Chickpeas ( If you are using canned chickpeas then 2 can with water drained).
2 onion chopped.
1 small piece of ginger peeled and chopped.
4 Garlic cloves peeled and crushed.
1 Capsicum / Red pepper chopped.
1 Tomatoes, sliced
2 Cardamom
A small piece of Cinnamon stick
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp Garama Masala
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp Chilli powder
2 Tablespoon almond powder
½ cup coconut milk
Coraiander leaves to garnish
3 Tablespoon Ghee (Clarified butter)
Cooking InstructionsSoak the chickpeas in water for 8 hours. If you are using canned chickpeas you can skip this step.
Melt the ghee in a saucepan and add the whole spices
(Cardamom, Cumin, Cinnamon) and fry gently.
Add the onions, garlic and ginger and sauté for few minutes until the onions are soft.
Add chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and fry for a minute.
Add the drained chickpeas, tomatoes, red pepper and 1 cup of water.
Cover and cook for 30 minutes in low heat.
When the chickpeas is almost cooked, stir in the coconut milk, and almont powder.
Cook for another 10 more minutes.
Turn the heat off and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve with roti/chapati.
