Kappa Puzhukku Recipe Recipe

Ingredients Kappa (Tapioca or Casava) - 1 kg
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Green Chilly - 4
Curry leaves - a sprig
Salt as required
Cooking InstructionsWash, clean and cut the kappa. Cook the kappa in 2 cups water with added salt. You may want to drain the water once to reduce the 'kattu' of the kappa, depending on the type of kappa. Grind together coconut, cumin, turmeric powder and green chillies. When the kappa is almost cooked and water is almost drained, add the ground mixture to the kappa. Mash and mix the kappa with the ground mix. Cook for some more time adding curry leaves.
