Potato Masala Recipe

Ingredients Potatoes - 4, peeled
Onion - 1, chopped
Garlic - 3 pods
Ginger - a small piece
Chilli powder - 3 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 2 teaspoon
Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Grated Coconut - half cup
Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
Dry red chilli - 2
Oil - 4 tablespoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Coriander leaves to garnish
Cooking InstructionsCut the potatoes in to small cubes
Grind and make a paste of grated coconut,fennel seeds, chilli powder and turmeric powder adding little bit of water.
Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds.
Add chopped onion, ginger, garlic and dry red chilli and saute until the onion turn yellow.
Add the coriander powder and garam masala powder and saute for a minute.
Add the cubed potatoes and stir fry for around 3 minutes.
Now add the ground coconut, fennel, chilli and turmeric paste.
Add 1 cup of hot water and salt and mix well.
Bring it to boil, then cover the lid and cook in medium heat until the potatoes are cooked.
Garnish with some coriander leaves.
You can serve this chapatis rotis or rice.
